Vocabulary: Build your house up.

The corresponding vocabulary we are going to deal with is the House. There are many concepts we have to bear in mind once we talk about that. The first thing we are going to explain is the different types of buildings we have: 

• Skyscraper: it is considered the tallest building of a city. It can be inhabited by people as having a home to live or it can just be used by companies in order to have there their offices.
• Apartment Building: it is the typical kind of building in a city. It is used by people to live there. Apartments are units of building made up by a small bedroom, a living room, the kitchen and the toilet.
• Detached House: it corresponds with an independent house,it is unconnected to other house, there is no house just next to yours, there is a kind of distance between one house and another.
• Row house: it is the opposite to a detached house. You have a house connected to yours .
• Cottage: it is the typical house we find in the countryside.

Now we have name the most important building we can find, we are going to analyze the different parts of a house. 

• Salon. It is known as the most elegant room of the house. Normally, we always receive our guests there.
• Living room. It is usually known as the family room. In this room we can stay with our family after having dinner or just being relaxed watching the TV. 
• Kitchen. This room of the house it the place where you can cook your meals. 
• Toilet. In this part of the house you can have a shower, brush your teeth and where you find the WC.
• Bedroom. We can consider this room as the most intimate one. Here you have all your belongings. Here you have your bed, where you rest at night for the next day.

The next topic we have to mention is the properties of the house, how is it located and made up.

• Cosy. This adjective describes a small and lovely kind of house. 
• Cramped. It corresponds to a house where there is not enough space to pace things.
• Run-down. This adjective deal with the necessity to rebuild the house from the beginning. It is all in ruins, in urgent need of repair.
• Conveniently located. This kind of construction suggests that the house is in a good zone of residence. You can find all type of building around (supermarket, outpatients clinic, etc.)
